A set of large scale puppet-costumes initially commissioned by the Wood Sisters Winter Storytelling Festival 2014 in Dartington, Devon, and further developed for a collaboration with All Seasons Stories (Lisa Fresle and Laura Salmon) at the Port Elliot Festival, Cornwall, 2014. The costumes are inspired by European pagan folk traditions including british mumming and Bulgarian Kukeri. Techniques and materials include sculpted newspaper papier mache, willow, sheeps’ wool, real- and fake fur, and reclaimed antlers and horns.
