The Weeping Tree (Re-developed)

A re-made, developed version of The Weeping Tree (see earlier example) using an Arts Council England Grants for the Arts award. The show comprises a large scale, 2D tree containing a central toy theatre and two moving panorama (crankie) windows. The story, figures/scenery and performance were developed in collaboration with Jon Nash (Ripped Script Theatre Company) and Philip Kingslan John (Four of Swords) and the final performance features toy theatre, ‘crankie’ sequences, pop-up book devices and elements of pagan seasonal rituals. Initial scratch performance shown at Radiant Art Space, Plymouth, and subsequently at The Little Angel Theatre’s HATCH! Festival, London, 2015.
